Students and parents arrested after threatening Minooka School

This week, a student was arrested for allegedly threatening classmates at Minooka Intermediate School.

On Monday, Minooka police said on their Facebook page that they had received a report of a threat against students at the school.

The student's parent allegedly did not fully cooperate with the investigation, which led police to execute a search warrant for the 200 block of Menominee Street.

Although police concluded the threat was not credible, the parent was arrested for violating the Child Weapons Protection Act and all unsecured weapons were removed from the home.

The youth was also arrested for disorderly conduct and later released.
