3-day pirate festival with entry into Pier Park in October

PANAMA CITY BEACH – Daring residents can ready their wooden legs and polish their hooks in preparation for the 2024 Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest.

The free event will take place from October 11-13 at various locations around Pier Park in Panama City Beach. Visit Panama City Beach promises fireworks, live mermaid shows, a fire circus, parades, a treasure hunt and circus adventure, and other themed activities.

They say the event honors the legacy of the pirates who once roamed the Gulf of Mexico and plundered the Emerald Coast. In particular, Dominique You and his crew, who raided Spanish ships in the Gulf of Mexico before helping Andrew Jackson repel the British invasion of New Orleans.
