Predicting Dalton Kincaid's Week 3 stats against the Jacksonville Jaguars

Week 3 is upon us for the Buffalo Bills, and instead of playing Thursday night in front of everyone like they did in Week 2 against the Dolphins, they will play on Monday night. Like their previous opponent, the Bills will face a team from Florida. That's where the similarities abruptly end, though. That Florida team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, have bested beating the Buffalo Bills in their last two meetings.

Granted, the previous game (Week 5 of 2023) was in London and the Jaguars had been in London the week before, so they were used to the time difference. But before that, they had played the Jaguars in Jacksonville when Trevor Lawrence was a rookie and Urban Meyer was the head coach at the time. A very strange game that ended in a 9-6 loss for the Bills that many Bills fans detest.

This year definitely feels different, with Jacksonville starting the year 0-2 and the Bills on the other side 2-0. This is a game that both teams will have to win. Jacksonville will have to get out of its 0-2 hole to have any chance of making the playoffs. The Bills will need to carry their momentum when they face Baltimore on the road next week in Week 4, and they'll need to do so with a home win in Week 3 against a stubborn opponent that seemed to outsmart Jacksonville.

A good way for the Bills to overcome their past deficiencies? Throw the football to Dalton Kincaid. The Jaguars play the most man coverage in the league, and Kincaid could create so many mismatches on the second level of that defense. He's fast enough to outrun and outrun linebackers, and he's too big a target for safeties and cornerbacks.

Kincaid entered the year with a lot of expectations, including potentially being viewed as the number one target in this passing offense. Two weeks in, however, that hasn't come to pass. This offense has definitely adopted the “everyone eats” mentality, but it feels like Kincaid is now starting to rack up yards and targets. Maybe his first touchdown too? We'll see it in prime time at Orchard Park.
