Open thread on Monday Night Football between Jaguars and Bills and Commanders and Bengals

Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season is almost over, with only Monday Night Football left. However, Week 3 brings a special event for MNF this season as two games will be played.

In the first game, the Jacksonville Jaguars will face the Buffalo Bills on the road. The Bills are favored by 4.5 points at FanDuel Sportsbook and the over/under odds are 46.5. Given the Jags' weak offense in the first two games of the season and the Bills' good defense so far, the Bills seem to be the safest bet as the two teams have failed to reach the over odds.

The second game is the Washington Commanders vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. FanDuel also has the over/under for the Commanders-Bengals matchup at 46.5, with Cincinnati favored by 7.5 points. That's a wide spread, but the Commanders defense has given up a lot of points so far this season, and Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense could use a game where they step up. However, Lou Anarumo's defense will likely pose more of a challenge for rookie Jayden Daniels, so bet on the under and the Bengals will cover.

Fans can tune in to the Bills-Jaguars game at 7:30 ET/4:30 PT on ESPN, and the Commanders-Bengals game will air on ABC and ESPN+ at 8:15 ET/5:15 PT.
