Drama group production “Murder on the Orient Express” in October

Who doesn't like a great mystery? There are few authors who can create as much suspense as Agatha Christie. Now audiences have the chance to enjoy her work – and guess the murderer – when the Drama Group presents Murder on the Orient Express.

The famous drama is performed over two weekends in early October. Travel with the companions on the Orient Express through Europe on a snowy evening in 1934. At daybreak, the passengers find that a snowdrift is blocking the tracks. Worse than the delay is the news that sometime during the night, an American businessman was stabbed to death in his bed, while the police discover that the door to his compartment was locked from the inside.

The famous detective Hercule Poirot travels on the Orient Express. He immediately begins questioning suspects, securing alibis and developing theories about the murderer who is still at large. Will the murderer strike again?

As the plot intensifies and his fellow travelers become uneasy, knowing they are all suspects, Poirot offers two scenarios as to who murdered the American and why. The audience is part of this incredibly glamorous journey to solve the crime.
