Delco man arrested for murdering woman, authorities search for remains

DELCO, NC (WECT) – Authorities have arrested 47-year-old Lance Arrington Sandlin of Delco for the murder of a woman who disappeared in May 2024.

Sandlin was arrested Friday night and is being held without bail for the murder of 38-year-old Shanna Denise Perry of Delco.

“The investigation into the disappearance of Shanna Perry began in May 2024. Despite extensive search efforts and hundreds of man-hours invested in locating Shanna, she is still missing tonight. The Columbus County Sheriff's Office has been assisted by the NC State Bureau of Investigation throughout the investigation. The Columbus County Sheriff's Office will continue to search for Shanna tonight,” Columbus Co. wrote on its Facebook page.

Authorities also announced that multiple people were involved in Perry's disappearance and additional arrests are possible. The investigation is ongoing.
