Delco man charged with murder of missing woman

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff announced Monday evening that Lance Arrington Sandlin IV, 47, of Delco, was arrested and charged with the murder of Shanna Denise Perry, 38, also of Delco.

According to CCSO, Lance is currently being held without bail at the Columbus County Sheriff's Office Detention Center.

The investigation into Shanna Perry’s disappearance began in May 2024.

Despite extensive search efforts and hundreds of man-hours invested in finding Shanna, she is still missing, according to the Columbus County Sheriff's Office.

The Columbus County Sheriff's Office has been assisted by the NC State Bureau of Investigation throughout the investigation and said they will continue the search for Shanna.

Authorities believe several people may be involved in Shanna Perry's disappearance.

Further arrests are possible as the investigation progresses.
