Under Kliff Kingsbury, the offensive identity of the commander begins to emerge

Despite scoring just three touchdowns in the first two games, the Washington Commanders offense is one of the most efficient offenses in the league. The Commanders offense ranked 10th in yards per game and led the league in offensive attacks with a first down. Additionally, Washington ranks fifth in the NFL in expected points per play (EPA/play), ninth per pass (EPA/pass) and fourth per run (EPA/run), according to data from Sumer Sports.

The video also supports the statistics so far. In the latest Trap or Dive film session, I analyze the Washington Commanders' offensive performance against the New York Giants.

In particular, I covered the following:

  • General pass protection scheme and offensive line breakdowns
  • Impact of John Bates
  • The dynamics of Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler in Kingsbury’s offense
  • Jayden Daniels' processing
  • Noah Brown's debut
