Car burns after accident on Parkway West in Robinson Township

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (KDKA) – A car caught fire after an overnight accident on Parkway West in Robinson Township.

The accident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday near the Ridge Road exit to Settlers Ridge shopping center.

One person was taken to hospital and witnesses said it all happened within seconds.

“There was a car coming,” CJ Jenny said. “When I hit the brakes, it was already skidding, so I hit the brakes even harder. She was already skidding. It's hard to explain, but she bounced off. I'm surprised she didn't roll over.”

The westbound lanes of the Parkway and the Ridge Road ramp were briefly closed.

The condition of the person hospitalized is currently unknown.
