Sean O'Malley offers the former world boxing champion $1 million for an MMA fight against him and comments on boxers

After losing his bantamweight title at UFC 306 on September 14, Sean O'Malley is now turning his attention to the world of boxing and challenging Devin Haney to an MMA fight.

Sean O'Malley became one of the biggest stars in the UFC while also being king of the bantamweight division, and that even led him to flirt with the idea of fighting in a crossover boxing match later on.

Nevertheless, “Suga” lost his light heavyweight title to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306, which dealt a serious blow to his fame and probably also destroyed any chance of him having a cross-fight boxing match.

Sean O'Malley challenges Devin Haney and offers him $1 million for an MMA fight

After losing his title in disappointing fashion, the 29-year-old rewatched the fight and claimed that he actually won it, scoring in rounds one, three and five.

The former champion not only infuriated the MMA fanbase with his ridiculous claim, but also called out former world boxing champion Devin Haney after he tweeted on X: “O'Malley, that bitch lost.”

“Boxers are fucking wimps, dude, Devin Haney is a bitch, he's such a bitch. If Devin Haney really wants to talk shit, if he really wants to fight, I'll put $1 million, me against him, no time limit and we can fight,” O'Malley claimed on the recent episode of The Timbo and Suga Show.

O'Malley claimed that the fight between the two would be under MMA rules, but then explained that while he would fight Haney in a boxing match, he would not put $1 million of his own money on the table in this case.

“MMA rules, just a fight or we can't make rules, so if you want to poke me in the eyes you can make a real damn fight. If you want to talk shit on Twitter we can really fight, or just not talk shit, one of the two.

“Either don't talk shit or let's really fight. I would even box, I wouldn't bet $1 million of my money, but I would box, just follow the rules of boxing to protect him, but he wouldn't just fight me,” O'Malley continued.

Since boxing is known to pay much better than MMA, Haney O'Malley responded with a simple message.

“I'm not fighting for a million dollars like you… Let's have a boxing match and try to make real money!” Haney replied.

Last April, the former super lightweight champion faced Ryan Garcia in one of the biggest boxing fights in the world. According to BoxingNews, the 25-year-old received $35 million for that fight alone, which makes O'Malley's proposal seem less sensible.

Although Haney offered to face O'Malley in a real boxing match to give them a chance to win big money, the 29-year-old responded in typical “Suga” fashion.

“Then let's just fight for fun. I don't need money to fight your stupid ass. You suck,” the former UFC champion ended his fight.
