Garland police investigate two women shot dead

GARLAND (1080 KRLD) – Garland police are investigating the deaths of two women Tuesday.

Police entered an apartment complex on Broadway Commons around 8 a.m. this morning and found that the apartment door had been forced open. While they were there, officers actually heard gunshots.

Inside, officers found the women. One was dead and the second was taken to the hospital but did not survive. According to our partners at NBC-5, two small children were also in the apartment. They were not injured.

Police immediately arrested a man, but there is no information yet about the motive or his connection to the victims.
