20-year-old from Denham Springs dies in accident on Sunday evening | Latest news

DENHAM SPRINGS — On September 22, 2024 at 7:30 p.m., officers from Louisiana State Police Troop A responded to a two-vehicle crash on LA 1019 near Perkins Road in Livingston Parish.

Noah Sanders, 20, of Denham Springs, was killed in the accident.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2017 Cadillac ATS driven by Sanders was traveling eastbound on LA 1019. At the same time, a 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling westbound on LA 1019. For reasons still under investigation, the Cadillac crossed the center line, entered the westbound lane, and struck the Chevrolet head-on.

Sanders was properly restrained but was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Cadillac was also properly restrained, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Both the driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were unrestrained, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital. No impairment is suspected in this accident, however, standard toxicology samples will be taken and sent for analysis. This accident remains under investigation.
