John Lineker books next Muay Thai fight at ONE Fight Night 25

John Lineker has officially booked his next fight and the former ONE Championship titleholder will return to 4 oz. Muay Thai after his sensational debut at ONE 168.

Lineker, a longtime top fighter in the UFC, joined ONE Championship in 2019 and collected three wins before challenging Bibiano Fernandes in 2022 and winning the promotion's middleweight title by second-round knockout.

A title defense against Fabrico de Andrade ended in a no-win due to a low blow before Lineker lost his belt in the immediate rematch. After a 2-1 record in his next three MMA fights, “Hands of Stone” made his highly anticipated Muay Thai debut at ONE 168 in Denver, stopping Asa Ten Pow in the second round.

Lineker's first 4-ounce Muay Thai fight was met with great acclaim in the combat sports world and ONE Championship has confirmed to MMA Knockout that the Brazilian will now face Alexey Balyko in another Muay Thai clash on October 4 at ONE Fight Night 25.

Russian Balyko has already fought four fights in ONE Championship and has a 3-1 record for the promotion since his debut last year. He earned a first-round knockout of Stefan Korodi at ONE Fight Night 23 in July.

Headlining ONE Fight Night 25, which will take place at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, is Alexis Nicolas, who will defend his ONE Championship welterweight kickboxing title for the first time in a rematch against Regian Eersel immediately following.

Also scheduled to take place that evening in the co-main event are Denice Zamboanga and Alyona Rassohyna for the ONE Interim Strawweight MMA title. The clash between Lineker and Balyko is the second Muay Thai fight added to the card alongside another middleweight bout between Kongthoranee and Tagir Khalilov.
