Man arrested for drunk driving after Monday morning crash in Camden County

A man was arrested for suspected drunken driving in connection with a September 23 car crash in Camden County that injured two other people.

Zachary J. Wallace, 23, of Macks Creek, was reportedly arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) after crashing his 2024 Polaris Ranger.

Monday's records show Wallace entered a left turn too fast and went off the right side of the road, skidded, entered a ditch and returned to the road. The Polaris Ranger then continued to cross the center lines and went off the left side of the road, where the car overturned.

Passengers Lacey N. Linton, 33, and Curtis L. McGhee, 35, both of Macks Creek, were ejected from the vehicle when it overturned.

Wallace was seriously injured in the crash and both passengers suffered moderate injuries. MSHP determined that no one in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.

After further investigations into the accident, Wallace was arrested by police and is charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol causing serious bodily harm and driving while licensed to endanger others.

MSHP reported that he has since been released and is awaiting arraignment.
