Woman allegedly robbed grave visitor at Bloomington cemetery – San Bernardino Sun

A woman accused of robbing a person visiting a grave at a Bloomington cemetery earlier this month has been arrested, authorities said.

According to a press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, a deputy responded to a grand larceny at Green Acres Mortuary, 11715 Cedar Ave., shortly before 8 p.m. on Sept. 13.

Investigators believe the victim was visiting a grave when someone broke into her car and stole her purse. The suspect used her credit cards to make several purchases in the Fontana area before the victim deactivated the stolen cards, the sheriff's office said.

Two days after the initial report, detectives with the Fontana Sheriff's Department identified a 32-year-old Corona woman as the suspect. She was on probation in Riverside County and was arrested in Corona on September 17.

The 2020 Jaguar F-Pace she was driving was an unreported stolen vehicle, the sheriff's department said. Investigators determined she purchased the Jaguar from a dealer on Sept. 9 using a stolen identity, the sheriff's department said.

Officials believe she was also responsible for a similar theft on September 9 at Montecito Memorial Park & Mortuary in Loma Linda.
