Traffic accident leads to closure of I-71/75 near Fort Mitchell

Due to a traffic accident, southbound Interstate 71/75 is completely closed near Fort Mitchell. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet cameras show emergency crews on scene and closing the southbound side of the highway. The accident location is just before Exit 184, Buttermilk Pike. The reason for the closure is currently unknown. Southbound traffic on I-75 appears to be backed up almost to Camp Washington in Cincinnati. FORT MITCHELL, Ky. —

Due to a traffic accident, traffic on Interstate 71/75 southbound near Fort Mitchell is completely closed.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet cameras show emergency crews arriving on scene and closing the southbound side of the highway. The accident site is just before Exit 184, Buttermilk Pike.

The reason for the closure is currently unknown. Traffic on southbound I-75 appears to be backed up almost all the way to Camp Washington in Cincinnati.

On I-71 southbound, traffic is backed up almost all the way to Evanston in Cincinnati.
