2 high school students arrested and charged after making threats against school on social media, Waller ISD says

WALLER, Texas (KTRK) – Two Waller ISD students were arrested for their alleged involvement in posting a threat against the school on social media.

Waller ISD officials said they were notified of a threat against Waller High School on Tuesday.

The district said one of the students was charged with criminal terroristic threatening, while the other was charged with criminal false alarm or false report.

According to the school administration, both students must also expect disciplinary measures.

According to officials, neither student was in possession of weapons and the content of their messages was quickly removed from social media shortly after the threat was posted.

“Waller ISD and our law enforcement agencies remain united in taking every possible action to protect our students and staff,” said WISD Superintendent Kevin Moran. “I am grateful for the information from the FBI that identified this content and enabled immediate action. The safety of our WISD family is our highest priority. We will continue to pursue the harshest possible consequences for any individual associated with a threat to our students, staff or schools.”
