Vivek Ramaswamy: Vivek Ramaswamy says he is worried that November could hold a nasty surprise unless…

Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy expressed fear that Republicans will be in for a nasty surprise in November if the party does not fix this. “We have railed against the Democrats, but without offering our own alternative vision,” Vivek said in the multi-part Fox News series “Truths with Vivek Ramaswamy.”
“We are not dealing with a candidate here. We are dealing with a machine. We are not going to win this by getting upset about the machinations of the other side. We are going to win this by asking ourselves who we are and what we actually stand for,” said the Indian-origin billionaire, who could become Ohio senator if Trump wins and JD Vance becomes vice president, adding that Republicans have become lazy. Vivek said Biden is a puppet and so is Kamala Harris – both are just cogs in the machine.
“I travelled around this country last year as a presidential candidate and learned one thing: we are not as divided as the media would have us believe. It turns out that 80 percent of us in this country share the same values. And that's the problem: they are afraid to talk about it openly,” Vivek said.
Vivek recently held a town hall meeting in Springfield after rumors surfaced that Haitian immigrants were eating cats and dogs. He said Springfield was not prepared to withstand the pressure from immigrants and therefore neither the immigrants nor the residents were to blame, but rather the federal policies that created these conditions.
“For me, this is close to home. I spent a lot of time here as a kid. I went to Mike & Rosie's and probably bought more sandwiches there than I can remember. Growing up, I played tennis every summer in Wittenberg as part of a program. That's where we went,” Vivek said. “It's about an hour from where I grew up. It's less than an hour's drive from where I am now. So if I want to be a public leader and unite this country, then I'm not going to turn my back on the places where I grew up and the places that are a stone's throw from where I live now.”
