A'ja Wilson had a great Sunday, winning the WNBA MVP title for the third time in her career that morning and helping the Las Vegas Aces defeat the Seattle Storm 78-67 in their first postseason game later that day. Wilson and the Aces will face the Storm again on Tuesday night in the second game of their playoff series, hosting Seattle at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. The WNBA playoffs began on Sunday, September 22nd. The playoffs are scheduled to run until October 18th if necessary.

There are eight confirmed teams in the 2024 WBNA playoffs, namely:
