Georgia vs. Alabama weather forecast: Will rain play a role in the game?

A look at the weather forecast for Georgia vs. Alabama and whether or not rain might play a role on Saturday.

The biggest matchup of the entire college football weekend and one of the most anticipated matchups of the entire season takes place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Georgia Bulldogs travel to the Alabama Crimson Tide to face Kalen DeBoer, who is in his first year with the program.

One thing fans will be keeping an eye on this week is Hurricane Helene and the chance of rain during Saturday's game at Alabama. The storm cell is expected to hit Florida State, but shouldn't be a factor in the big game. According to the Weather Channel, Tuscaloosa only has an 11% chance of rain on Saturday and a 42% chance on Friday, so there could be wet field conditions, but there shouldn't be heavy rain when kickoff comes.

The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide will begin their hunt for the magic number this Saturday, September 28. Kickoff for this matchup is currently scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
