2 men arrested after suspected drugs found near Preble County school – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

WEST ALEXANDRIA – Two men were arrested after sheriff's officials found suspected methamphetamine and drug material near a Preble County school last week.

According to the Preble County Sheriff's Office, officers were working at a West Alexandria garage, just 1,000 feet from Twin Valley South School, to handle drug trafficking complaints.

They made contact with a man leaving a garage in the 100 block of West Dayton Street and found that he was suspected of having methamphetamine after “trading” the drugs.

Officers were allowed to search the garage and discovered seven grams of suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale and meth pipes.

One of the suspects admitted to selling methamphetamine in the garage, which is less than 300 meters from the school, the sheriff's office said.

Robert Johnson, 39, was arrested and charged in Eaton Town Court with two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs.

Clyde Miller, 41, of West Alexandria, was arrested and charged with aggravated possession of drugs, the sheriff's office said.

Online jail records show Johnson is being held in the Preble County Jail.
