The miniseries, directed by Mike Jones and set for release in 2025, centers on the studio inside Riley's head, where dreams really do come true – every night, on time and on budget, thanks to acclaimed director Paula Persimmon (voice of Paula Pell). As Riley grows up, her deepest emotions help her find her way, but now Paula faces her own nightmare: her typical combination of dreams involving rainbow unicorns and tons of glitter just isn't working anymore.

To save her career, Paula teams up with Xeni (voice of Richard Ayoade), an overconfident daydream director waiting for his next big break. Although they have different ideas about what makes Riley's dreams successful, can the reluctant pair come together and create the next big tween dream hit?

According to Pixar Win or lose follows the Pickles, a co-ed middle school softball team, in the week leading up to their championship game. Each episode offers a glimpse into the life of a character off the field – a player, their parents, the umpire – revealing their funny, emotional and always relatable point of view in a unique visual style. The art style for Win or lose reminds me of To reddenwhere each character looks extremely expressive and is fun to follow through an animated sports adventure.
