Panthers' Xavier Legette: Will likely benefit without Thielen

Legette is expected to get more snaps and targets in the coming weeks after the Panthers placed Adam Thielen (hamstring) on the injured list on Tuesday, Alex Zietlow of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Legette finished the Week 3 win over the Raiders with two catches for 42 yards and appeared on 44 of the Panthers' 74 offensive snaps. His playing time really took off, however, after Thielen left the game with an injury in the second quarter. His snap share rose to as much as 76 percent in the second half, the best of any Carolina receiver. Although Diontae Johnson will be the clear No. 1 in the passing attack during Thielen's absence and his target share could rise, a more efficient offense led by Andy Dalton could give Legette enough room to get enough weekly volume to emerge as a viable option in deeper fantasy leagues.
