16-year-old arrested for attempted murder in Baltimore


Baltimore, Maryland– A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with a shooting in the South District.

On August 31, the suspect shot and killed a 26-year-old male victim in the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road. On September 11, a warrant was issued for the suspect's arrest and he was taken into custody on September 13 and charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The suspect is currently being held without bail at the Central Booking Intake Facility.

    BALTIMORE, MD — Three people were arrested by the Western District Action Team in the Druid Hill corridor on Monday.

    The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m. when officers took proactive action.

    In the course of their investigation, the detectives arrested two 20-year-olds and a 17-year-old man and also confiscated three handguns.

    All three suspects were later taken to the central reception facility where they were officially charged.

    The Druid Hill corridor has seen increased law enforcement efforts to curb illegal activity in recent weeks, and officials have stressed the importance of taking proactive measures to keep the community safe.

    The Western District Action Team has been particularly active in the area, focusing on high-risk zones to deter criminal activity. These efforts have resulted in several successful operations, including the recent recovery of a handgun.

    The names of those arrested have not yet been released by local authorities. Investigations are currently underway to determine whether there are any links to other criminal activities.

    FREDERICK, Maryland – The 26th winning ticket for the 2024 Grand Prize in the Bonus Match 5 game has been sold for the September 23 drawing.

    The winning ticket, purchased at Walmart in Frederick, contained all five numbers and the bonus number.

    The winning numbers were 3, 9, 10, 15 and 23, with a bonus number of 21.

    The ticket entitles the winner to a prize of $50,000.

    Walmart at 7400 Guilford Drive, Frederick, will receive a $500 bonus for selling the grand prize ticket.

    Lottery officials advise the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place.

    The player has 182 days to claim the prize.
