Former Jets announcer who accused Brett Favre of sending offensive pictures: ‘Karma never forgets’

Jenn Sterger, the former New York Jets anchor who accused quarterback Brett Favre of texting her unsolicited photos of his penis during the 2008 season, had harsh words for the Hall of Famer after he announced his Parkinson's diagnosis on Tuesday.

In a note on her Instagram story, Sterger appeared to reference the welfare fraud allegations against Favre in his home state of Mississippi, suggesting that “karma” hit him.

“I don't wish ill on anyone, but I know karma never forgets a home,” she wrote. “Imagine being diagnosed with such a horrific disease and not having the tools to fight it because some Hall of Fame quarterback stole it?”

“These are the people who need your attention, support and compassion,” she continued. “And now at least his pictures aren't clear anymore. Mississippi, you deserve better.”

In another Instagram story, Sterger urged his followers to donate to actor Michael J. Fox’s “worthy Parkinson’s organization.”

According to a 2010 Deadspin expose, Sterger said unwanted voicemails from the married then-Jets quarterback were replaced with dick pics, one of which showed him masturbating. She called him a “creepy jerk.”

The NFL launched an investigation. Sterger said she sent the league voicemails and text messages for months. But the league ultimately ruled that while Favre had not cooperated with the investigation (even though he admitted to the voicemails), it could not establish that he sent the photos.

Sterger left the Jets after that season and is now pursuing a career as a comedian, according to her Instagram.

Favre, who spent most of his career in Green Bay, played his final season in the NFL in 2010. He revealed at a House hearing on Tuesday that he suffers from Parkinson's disease. Republicans invited him to testify as an unlikely “expert witness” on welfare fraud. Favre is accused of wrongfully receiving $1 million from a fund for needy families.
