Marshfield man found guilty of first-degree murder

A 36-year-old Marshfield man has been found guilty in connection with a drunk driving accident that killed a 13-year-old Plymouth girl in 2019.

Gregory Goodsell is guilty of first-degree murder, intoxication, aggravated assault and hit-and-run.

On December 29, 2019, 13-year-old Claire Zisserson was traveling in a motor vehicle with her mother Elizabeth and friend Kendall Zemotel in Pembroke when Goodsell, drunk from a Christmas party, ran a red light on Rt 139 in Pembroke and crashed into her car around 7 a.m.

All three were seriously injured, Claire Zisserson did not survive the crash.

The verdict against Goodsell is tentatively scheduled for next week.
