Mike Tyson made a bold statement about his fight against Jake Paul, but I'm more focused on this wild video of the YouTuber lifting weights in a fat suit

It was a shame that the Netflix boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul was postponed due to Tyson's health issues after he became “nauseous and dizzy” on the plane. However, both fighters now have significantly more time to engage in verbal sparring as we approach the big fight on November 15. Both fighters continue to spar with each other with various remarks and gestures, and apparently some weightlifting in a fat suit is also on the agenda.

As we all prepare to stream this fight live via a Netflix subscription, both fighters are doing everything they can to promote the event, including taking shots at each other in the process. The latest announcement comes from Tyson's bold statement during a late-night talk show appearance and an Instagram post from Paul that was just plain weird.

Mike Tyson seems confident he will beat Jake Paul

Mike Tyson was a guest at Jimmy Kimmel Liveand answered a series of questions about preparing for the fight with Jake Paul. After sharing some of the broad outlines of his training plan and his desire to face the young athlete, Kimmel went into detail and asked the veteran what he had been talking about throughout the interview, whether he would “beat” Paul in the ring. To which Tyson replied:

Very bad.

Mike Tyson has said at previous press events that he could beat Jake Paul, but the way he said it in this recent TV interview was somewhat unsettling. It's as if we're seeing the resurrection of “Iron Mike” rather than just the fun and slightly goofy Tyson that actors like Russell Crowe fear we'll lose in this fight.

I obviously think that this version of the fighter has always been in him, but I can definitely sense a more aggressive change in his demeanor and how serious he is taking this upcoming fight.

Jake Paul posted a video of himself lifting fake weights in a fat suit

I would argue that Jake Paul took this fight more seriously than some of his previous fights, but I guess it was only a matter of time before his signature trolling tendencies came out. After Tyson previously called him “fat and funky” at a Netflix press event, Paul seemingly responded on Instagram with the following video:

The video shows Jake Paul wearing some sort of fat suit that makes his belly appear larger than it actually is. He also bench presses an insane amount of weight, although the weights appear to be props and are more for show than actual strength training. For any other fighter other than Paul, it would be a strange video, but his fans are used to this sort of thing.

It looks like Jake Paul is trolling Mike Tyson again, which as I said before would be a mistake. The last thing he wants to do is rile the bear and make Tyson think that Paul doesn't see him as a serious contender. I think this will probably make the former champion train even harder, even though he already plans to beat Paul “very badly.” Can it get any worse for the YouTuber?

Unless Tyson Strictly speaking meant he would beat Paul very badly, which doesn't sound confident at all, so we're assuming it's the other way around.

We will be checking out and continuing to watch more upcoming Netflix series and movies while we wait for Paul vs. Tyson on Friday, November 15. I'm excited to see these two fight and really hope there is no further delay and we can finally see if experience in the boxing ring can overcome age.
