Cincinnati man charged with sexual acts with minor, police say

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A Cincinnati man was arrested Friday and accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a minor, according to Cincinnati police.

Officials said 43-year-old Fred Jordan knowingly engaged in sexual conduct with a child under the age of 13.

On January 3, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center notified the Personal Crimes Squad that they had treated a 12-year-old who had allegedly been sexually abused.

Detectives coordinated their efforts with Lucas County Child Protective Services, Toledo Police Department and Lucas County Child Protective Services.

According to law enforcement, they were able to match the victim's DNA with that of the suspect.

Jordan was already being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center and is charged with drug trafficking and two counts of rape, officials said.

Cincinnati Police are still investigating the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department Major Offenders Unit at 513-352-3542.
