Broncos LB Alex Singleton out for the rest of the season

Broncos HC Sean Payton announced on Wednesday that the experienced LB Alex Singleton is out for the rest of the season due to a torn cruciate ligament.

The Broncos will place Singleton on the injured list in the coming days.

Singleton, 30, originally joined the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Montana State University in 2015. He played briefly with the Seahawks, Patriots and Vikings before joining the Calgary Stampeders for the 2016 season.

The Eagles signed Singleton to a futures contract in 2019, and he spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons on and off the active roster. Philadelphia declined to extend Singleton a qualifying offer in late 2021, and he eventually signed a one-year contract with the Broncos.

From there, the Broncos signed him to a three-year, $18 million contract through 2023.

In 2024, Singleton appeared in three games for the Broncos, recording 31 tackles, one interception, and one pass deflection.
