Overturned RV causes traffic jams on I-10 in Gadsden County

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – According to Florida 511, a motor home flipped on its side in the westbound lanes of I-10 in Gadsden County.

As the cameras of the Florida 511 station show, the incident blocked the westbound lane and caused traffic to back up for about five kilometers.

It is not known whether any injuries were reported.

The crash occurred as thousands streamed out of Florida counties to escape Hurricane Helene. In Gadsden, a mandatory evacuation is in effect for residents living in flood-prone areas, unsecured buildings and mobile/manufactured homes.

Residents should seek safe accommodation by 4 p.m. Thursday.
