Robert Lewandowski explains his return to form at FC Barcelona under Hansi Flick

FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski continued his fine form this season with two more goals in the 5-1 win over Villarreal on Sunday.

Lewandowski could also have scored a hat trick at the end, but he hit the post with a penalty won by Lamine Yamal.

The Polish international has now won six games in La Liga this season and declared his return to form after the game at La Ceramica.

“We are trying to get the ball into the box quicker this season and as a striker that is my zone, that is where I want to have the ball,” he told the media.

“I want more ball contact. We all play for each other and that's what we did today and won 5-1.

“It was very important that we recovered away from home, scored goals and got another three points. At the moment we play every three days. The most important thing was just to win and we did that.”

“Everyone knows what they have to do, the older players, the younger players. We know how to attack and defend. We have to score more goals than the opponent and that's what we have to do.”

Lewandowski was also asked about his teammate Marc-André ter Stegen, who was stretchered off the pitch in the first half, but he was lost for words. He only said: “It's difficult to know what to say to Marc. It's difficult to talk too much about the injury.”
