Jimmy Kimmel attacks Donald and Melania Trump in his latest episode

Jimmy Kimmel recently took aim at Donald Trump again, mocking the former US president's ongoing efforts to sell merchandise to his most devoted supporters.

As the 2024 election season heats up, Kimmel pointed out that candidates typically use this time for their final campaign pushes, but Trump seems more concerned with making a profit.

Trump's new “official” coin sells for $100 and Kimmel makes a joke about it

“We're in the final stretch of the election, when candidates should be making their final push to govern this country,” Kimmel said on his show. “And this bastard is having a garage sale.”

One of the latest items Trump has added to his MAGA line is an “official” silver coin featuring his face.

Kimmel did not hold back with his criticism, quipping: “Remember, the Trump coin costs $100. It contains $31 worth of silver.”

“What better way to express the essence of Donald Trump than to charge his fans, who love him the most, three times the value of a coin?” He then called it “a Chuck E. Cheese token with his head on it.” And since the coin is made of silver, not gold, Kimmel couldn't resist taking another swipe at Trump.

“It's the perfect gift for him when he finishes second in November,” Kimmel joked.

The late-night host then turned his attention to Melania Trump, saying, “There's Melania, who's currently selling a $600 necklace that says 'Vote Freedom,'” adding that it was as if “the Statue of Liberty was on the front and nothing was behind it, just like Melania herself.”

While Kimmel's criticism was met with laughter, Trump was not amused

At a rally in Pennsylvania, the former president lashed out at several late-night talk show hosts, including Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon, but did not mention them by name.

“Where is Johnny Carson?” Trump asked the crowd. “Bring Johnny back.”

Carson, who hosted the “Tonight Show” for 30 years and became synonymous with the late-night format, retired in 1992 and died in 2005.

Trump didn't stop there, criticizing Fallon for his 2016 performance when he playfully messed up his hair. He called Fallon “weak and pathetic” for later apologizing, and claimed the moment humanized Trump during the campaign.

But Trump saved his harshest words for Kimmel. “I think he said something like 'ha ha ha, he thinks he's bugging me' or some nonsense like that,” Trump said at the event in Pennsylvania.

At the end of his tirade, Trump once again took aim at all three late-night hosts, saying: “It's supposed to be comedy. It's hate.”
