Shaquille O'Neal visits Big Chicken on Friday in Hartland

HARTLAND – Basketball Hall of Fame member Shaquille O'Neal will visit Livingston County on Friday.

O'Neal will visit Big Chicken in Hartland on September 27. The restaurant is located at 10490 Highland Road.

A Big Chicken spokesperson confirmed to The Daily that O'Neal plans to arrive around 2 p.m. Friday and stay as long as his schedule allows.

O'Neal is the founder of the fast-casual restaurant known for its chicken sandwiches, shakes and mac and cheese. Big Chicken opened in Hartland on August 13.

The new restaurant is part of a development agreement for 20 locations in Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Flint, Saginaw and Mount Pleasant. H&D Group Investments opened the state's first Big Chicken in Clio in February, The Daily previously reported. There is a third location in Livonia.
