Tigers: Playoff chances are at 91.1%, magic number drops again

The Tigers continued their impressive push into the postseason with a 7-1 victory over Tampa Bay on Wednesday night at Comerica Park, reducing their magic number to three.

Later on Wednesday, the Twins also beat the Marlins, keeping the Tigers' magic number for a playoff spot at three.

The Tigers, who are 22-8 in their last 30 games, have a 91.1 percent chance of making the playoffs, according to FanGraphs. They have not been to the playoffs since 2014.

Detroit could secure a playoff spot as early as Friday at 6:40 p.m. with a game against the White Sox at Comerica Park.
