Motorcyclist killed in traffic accident in Pulaski County

Three people were killed and one injured in three traffic accidents on Arkansas roads on Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday, according to preliminary reports from state law enforcement agencies.

Jesse Henderson, 50, of Sherwood died around 9:45 p.m. Saturday when the 2008 Harley Davidson he was riding on U.S. 67/167 in North Little Rock slammed on his brakes as another motorist merged onto the interstate and skidded, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

The motorcycle was then hit by a 2018 Dodge.

At the time of the accident, the roads were dry and the weather was clear, the report says.

Coly Linn, 37, of Pettigrew was killed around 7:35 p.m. Tuesday when the 2018 Chevrolet Sonic he was driving as a passenger went off the road and struck a tree on Arkansas 265 in rural Washington County, a state police report said.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 27-year-old Kristin Jones of Westville, Oklahoma, was injured in the accident and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A police officer investigating the accident reported that it was raining at the time and the road was wet.

Bryce Metcalf, 22, of Hot Springs was killed around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when the driver of a 2018 Dodge Journey failed to yield the right of way while attempting to cross Malvern Avenue from Drexel Street to Nickels Street in Hot Springs and collided with the front of the Honda CBR600 motorcycle Metcalf was riding westbound on U.S. 270B, according to a preliminary report from Hot Springs police.

An officer investigating the accident reported that the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time.
