Philadelphia police seek suspect in Crown Fried Chicken vandalism incident


PHILADELPHIA – The Central Detective Division is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect involved in a vandalism incident at a Crown Fried Chicken restaurant located at 2201 N. Broad Street. The incident occurred on September 24, 2024 at approximately 2:50 a.m.

According to authorities, the suspect became angry with employees and climbed on the counter, damaging two cash registers, two credit card readers, two receipt printers and a digital menu monitor. Total damage is estimated at about $8,470.

Police have released video clips and still images of the suspect. Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Central Detective Division.

  • Man attacked on Willis Avenue Bridge and robbed of his electric bike

    MANHATTAN, NY — A 25-year-old man was attacked and robbed while riding his electric bicycle on the Willis Avenue Bridge on Friday, September 20, 2024, according to police reports.

    The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. as the victim was traveling south on the bridge. At the intersection of 1st Avenue and East 125th Street, four unknown men on two mopeds blocked the victim's path. One suspect pulled out a gun, another a knife. The suspects threw the victim to the ground and beat him with clenched fists before stealing his electric bike, valued at approximately $2,850.

    The attackers fled the scene on the victim's mopeds and motorcycle, heading north across the Willis Avenue Bridge. The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention.

    Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact the NYPD.
