BCSO log: Road rage near Blodgett, woman looking for fight among reported incidents

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3

• 10:01 p.m. – BCSO arrested a 63-year-old Salem man for driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol less than .08) and reckless driving after a possible incident of road rage was reported near the Blodgett Store on Highway 20. A motorist who called reported that a Mercury Grand Marquis was tailgating him, flashing its high beams and attempting to force him off the road. The motorist said he attempted to make a U-turn to avoid the vehicle, but the Grand Marquis continued to follow him.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6

• 4:17 p.m. – BCSO responded to an accident in the 24700 block of Grange Hall Road where a truck had downed a power line and left the area while the driver of another vehicle was trapped between the downed lines. The truck was later found and the driver, a 65-year-old Eugene man, was identified. The deputy reported that the driver was unaware of the damage and determined that no crime had been committed. The cost of damage to public utilities and private property exceeded $2,500.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

• 8:45 a.m. – BCSO responded to a single-vehicle crash on Tum Tum Road west of Blodgett involving a Dodge Ram that left the road and, while attempting to correct itself, overturned and became stuck in a tree line. The driver, a 19-year-old Philomath woman, was reportedly not injured in the crash.

• 11:42 a.m. – BCSO responded to a crash on Maxfield Creek Road near Kings Valley Highway. An injured juvenile girl was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. No further information on the circumstances of the crash was reported.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14

• 12:30 a.m. – BCSO arrested Rachael Justine Moore, 54, of Newport, on a countywide parole board felony warrant out of Union County on Highway 20 at the Ellmaker State Wayside near Burnt Woods. Moore was transported to the Benton County Jail.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20

• 8:50 p.m. – BCSO arrested a 42-year-old Philomath woman for second-degree misdemeanor and second-degree trespassing following an incident at a Philomath convenience store. An employee called to report that a woman inside the store was disorderly and wanted to fight.
