Here is a link to the Royal Montreal course where this event is being held for the second time.

It is the oldest golf club in North America and the oldest in continuous existence, celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2023. It was founded in Montreal in 1873 by eight men. Queen Victoria granted permission to use the prefix “Royal” in 1884, according to the course's biography.

In 2007, the seventh Presidents Cup was held at Royal Montreal from September 27 to 30. Although the US team won the competition by a margin of 19.5 to 14.5, the highlight was Mike Weir's victory over Tiger Woods on the last hole on the final day.

The international team will be looking to end a Presidents Cup drought that began in 1999. Whether they turn things around this week will depend entirely on how a younger U.S. team fares against a more experienced host team that should have the spirit of the fans (and they get very loud and passionate at times in this tournament) on its side.

The USA will field the two best players in the world in Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele. While Schauffele was strong at the Presidents Cup with an overall record of 6-3-0, Scheffler (0-3-1) has struggled in the competition. The Americans will also field Wyndham Clark, Sahith Theegala, Brian Harman and Russell Henley as newcomers, along with Max Homa, who is undefeated at the Presidents Cup (4-0-0).

This is the first U.S. team since the 2012 Ryder Cup in Medinah without Jordan Spieth or Justin Thomas. Keegan Bradley plays as captain's choice. He is the first active Ryder Cup captain to play in the Presidents Cup.

Adam Scott leads the international team, making his 11th Presidents Cup appearance. His record is 18-25-6. Only Sungjae Im (5-3-2) and Si Woo Kim (4-3-0) have won in the competition, while Mackenzie Hughes and Min Woo Lee are making their first appearances. Hideki Matsuyama and Taylor Pendrith are the only players on the international team to have won this year.
