Artur Beterbiev is confident of knockout in fight against Dmitry Bivol

Artur Beterbiev looks forward to his October 12 showdown with Dmitry Bivol with calm, unwavering confidence. The unified light heavyweight champion has earned a perfect 20-0 record, with each win coming by knockout. Now he is ready to take on skilled, methodical WBA champion Dmitry Bivol at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Although he recently underwent knee surgery, Beterbiev insists he is “100%” ready for what many consider to be the most important fight in boxing.

“I always focus on doing good” says Beterbiev when asked about the possibility of a knockout. His voice is even, almost too calm for a man known for ending his opponents' nights early. “I never try to knock anyone out. It’s happening.” There is no arrogance in his statement, just the simple truth a man who has seen his fists knock down every fighter that faced him.

The knockouts may “happen,” but there is no denying that they are the result of his brutal efficiency. Beterbiev isn't chasing the KO, but with every fight he seems to be chasing it. His devastating power and unrelenting pressure have made him a force that few can withstand in the long run. As for Bivol, The man who outclassed Canelo Alvarez in 2022 represents a different kind of enigma. A master of distance and precision, Bivol's style could be more distinct from Beterbiev's.

Promoter Eddie Hearn can barely contain his excitement as he talks about the fight. I call it the best in the sport right now. “This is a generational fight with the two best light heavyweights in the world fighting for each belt.” he says, his eyes lighting up at the prospect. Hearn knows that boxing fans – both hardcore and casual – are in for something special. “Bivol is a master technician. He went into the lion's den against Canelo and taught him. Now he faces a machine like Beterbiev.”

Both men remain undefeated, both are at the peak of their powers and both know what is at stake. The winner will not only unify the light heavyweight division, but also cement his place among the all-time greats. It's more than just another fight. It is a collision of styles, a battle between the art of boxing and its destruction.

For Beterbiev, however, it's simple. It's another night to do “good things” in the ring. Fans will soon find out whether this ends in a knockout or not.
