Three injured in two-car crash in Brownsdale

Three people – two from Hayfield – were injured in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 56 and Main Street in Brownsdale late Wednesday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 10:48 a.m., a 2007 GMC Yukon driven by Geniva Christina Alers, 31, collided with a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 52-year-old Dana Elise Nordin of Golden Valley.

Nordin was driving west on Main Street while Alers was driving south on Highway 56.

Both were taken to Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Austin with non-life-threatening injuries. A two-year-old Yukon passenger was also transported to MCHS-Austin for non-life-threatening injuries. Two other children in Yukon were uninjured. Both were less than a year old.

The Mower County Sheriff's Office, Mayo Ambulance and Brownsdale Fire and Rescue responded.
