Bailey Zimmerman takes an unexpected political stance: spray tans for everyone.

In conversation with comedian Heather McMahan on E! Live from the red carpet at the People's Choice Country Awards in Nashville on September 26, Zimmerman admitted that he indulges in an unexpected skincare routine: “Well, I was supposed to get a tan again, but I haven't gotten one since my last one.” it was still going pretty well.

“I feel like they just have a bad reputation with guys,” Zimmerman continued. “And honestly, who doesn’t want to be tan? And as a redhead like me, we find it hard to get a tan! That's why it makes me feel better and I'm sticking with 'We should legalize tanning'.”

Elsewhere on the red carpet, Zimmerman, dubbed “the country's bad boy,” discussed his ADHD diagnosis. “It’s a superpower,” Tanner Adell said.

Zimmerman agreed, saying, “Teachers hated me. Now they say 'Oh Bailey, we love your songs!'”

Zimmerman is nominated for Male Artist of the Year 2024 and Social Country Star of the Year 2024 at the People's Choice Country Awards tonight.

Zimmerman went viral on TikTok in 2021. His famous breakup song “Rock and a Hard Place” had one of the biggest hits for a new act on the Billboard Country Airplay charts and his debut LP “Religiously.” “The Album,” released in spring 2023, cemented his place in the country music scene.

The 2024 PCCAs will air live on NBC and Peacock from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Thursday, September 26 at 8pm ET/PT.
