Main street closed after crash near downtown Phoenix; Several teenagers were injured

PHOENIX (AZFamily) – A multi-vehicle crash involving teenagers closed a major road near downtown Phoenix on Thursday.

It happened on 19th Avenue and Linden Street, which is north of Roosevelt Street.

Both directions of 19th Avenue are closed.

According to the fire department, five people were taken to hospital and one adult was in extremely critical condition.

The other four are in serious but stable condition and three of them are 14 to 17 years old, firefighters said.

The video shows that at least four vehicles were damaged.

There is no word yet on the severity of the injuries, but at least one woman was treated at the scene and then taken to an ambulance.

Arizona's family has asked Phoenix police for more information.
