The transgender “baby-faced” killer convicted of killing a New York antiques dealer was sentenced Thursday to 22 years to life in prison, months after he was convicted of a separate, gruesome murder in Oklahoma involving the victim. was sentenced to prison and was beheaded.

Alex Ray Scott, 28, who began transitioning into a woman in prison, was previously found guilty of murdering 64-year-old Kenneth Savinski in his Upper East Side apartment in January 2020 with a decorative plate and a kitchen knife to have killed.

“Alex Ray Scott will serve a serious prison sentence for the brutal and senseless murder of Kenneth Savinski – a beloved, kind person and respected churchgoer,” said Manhattan District Attorney Bragg. “The loss of Mr. Savinski not only devastated his friends and family, but also shocked his close-knit community. Although we cannot bring Mr. Savinski back, I hope the resolution of this case gives his loved ones a sense of justice in their ongoing grief.”

Scott, who was also sentenced to 45 years in prison in Oklahoma for dismembering a man with a chainsaw, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and multiple possession counts in Savinski's death.

Scott and Savinski met on a dating app and spent an evening together on January 27, 2020, when they visited Savinski's apartment, the New York Post reported.

Savinski was found with wounds to his head and neck, including a broken hyoid, a slit throat and large, deep cuts to his face and forehead. According to prosecutors, he was found covered in blood and pronounced dead at the scene.

After the murder, Scott stole credit cards from Savinski and said he didn't remember the attack, an indictment says, the Post reported.

Scott later walked into a New York police station and admitted to killing someone in an unrelated case. He was found with credit cards belonging to Robin Skocdopole, which led investigators to check Skocdopole's home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, when he was unavailable.

Authorities found his house empty and covered in pools of blood. Skocdopole's remains were finally found in May 2020 on the edge of a creek in Broken Arrow, federal prosecutors said.

He was last seen in August 2019. Scott rented a room from Skocdopole and told everyone that the landlord had suddenly moved to Dallas for work, explaining the disappearance.

A coroner's report indicates that two different saws were used in Skocdopole's dismemberment. After his arrest, Scott agreed to take the FBI to the location of Skocdopole's head, but no other remains were found, the Justice Department said.
