Man accused of crawling under cars to pick up women's feet at car wash

GILBERT, Ariz. (KPHO/Gray News) – Surveillance video appears to show a man accused of crawling under several women's vehicles at an Arizona car wash last month.

Gilbert police officers were called on August 29 to investigate three cases in which a man, identified as 28-year-old Jesse Johnson, was allegedly seen crawling under vehicles while women were at a car wash in the near Val Vista Drive and Riggs Road.

Multiple witnesses and surveillance cameras reportedly saw Johnson crawling under the vehicles.

According to court documents, while the women were vacuuming their vehicles, Johnson hid under their cars for several minutes before climbing out from under them.

Surveillance cameras show Johnson parking next to a woman's white SUV despite several empty parking spaces. Johnson gets out of the car and walks to the front of the woman's vehicle as she vacuums.

The woman vacuums for several minutes until Johnson unexpectedly emerges from underneath her vehicle. He then goes back to his car and appears to “clean” his back tire.

Police said because the women initially didn't know what Johnson had done, they went to have their vehicles inspected for possible damage or to see if he had placed a tracking device under their cars.

According to court documents, the women described the incidents as “very disturbing,” with one of them saying she had had nightmares.

Authorities searched criminal Johnson's criminal record and discovered that he had been arrested several times in Nebraska for a similar crime.

Authorities said Johnson admitted to law enforcement in the Midwest that he is “sexually attracted to the feet of women” and “sometimes cannot control his sexual desires.”

According to Arizona State Police, Johnson was arrested Tuesday and charged with three counts of voyeurism and three counts of disorderly conduct.
