Police: Person arrested for pursuit Wednesday in Toledo, Sylvania

Jessica Banks was arrested for allegedly failing to comply with police orders to stop in a stolen vehicle Wednesday afternoon and leading officers on a chase.

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo police arrested a woman Wednesday afternoon who allegedly led officers on a chase.

Jessica Banks, 43, of Walbridge, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property and failing to comply with the order of a police officer.

According to a police report, Banks followed officers' attempts to fail to stop a stolen vehicle she was driving, and a low-speed chase began in west Toledo that was eventually joined by troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The chase eventually reached Sylvania Township, back to Toledo and then to Sylvania.

Banks was eventually taken into custody at Toledo Memorial Cemetery, according to the report.

According to court documents, Banks also ran red lights and drove off the road during the pursuit.
