After Saturday night's battle in Hoptown, the Tigers are preparing to face another big school – McCracken | high schools

MURRAY – Career nights for junior quarterback Wyatt Robbins and senior wide receiver Jeremiah Jones helped the Murray High Tigers hold off the Christian County Colonels 54-36 on Saturday night in Hopkinsville.

The Tigers totaled nearly 500 yards of total offense in the game, but needed plenty of it to fend off a comeback attempt by the Colonels, who cut Murray's lead to just 10 points in the final quarter. The defense bent over quite a bit and gave up their highest points of the season, but ultimately couldn't admit defeat and won their fourth game in a row. Robbins' 373 The passing yards helped boost his per-game average to 292 per game, good for second-best in the state behind Paducah Tilghman's Jack James. Jones had 173 receiving yards on 12 receptions and scored three touchdown grabs, all career highs for the University of Nebraska, including in the offensive shootout, enough to propel him to ninth-best in the state with 100 yards per game. Aside from the hot and humid climate, the conditions were favorable for second-year Murray High head coach Melvin Cunningham's offense to put on a show.
