How to easily beat any fight in Reynatis

Reynatis is an action-oriented role-playing game based on the theme of magicians. The combat system in Reynatis is unique and may take an hour or two to get used to. For this reason, certain battles can be a bit tricky for some players, especially at the beginning. Here we review a cheeky technique that will guarantee you win every fight Reynatis without much effort.

What are oppressed and liberated states?

To implement this technique, you need a basic understanding of the combat system. On the surface, the combat system looks pretty similar Kingdom Heartsbut the way you attack and dodge is very different.

As the game progresses, there are two states that you can switch to at any time: oppressed and liberated. If you are in a repressed state, citizens will not know that you are a wizard (unless they see you in a liberated state), and you will not be able to attack since you will not have access to your magical abilities. However, when you are in this state, you can dodge attacks and thus restore MP. You can tell if you are in a repressed state by the fact that your character is wearing something over their head.

In the liberated state, you are basically in your wizard form. You can unleash devastating attacks on enemies, but your MP will slowly deplete every moment you are in this form. When your MP is completely depleted, you will be forced back into the suppressed state. If you use this form, you will not be able to dodge attacks.

How to beat any fight easily Reynatis

The combat system of Reynatis Constantly encourages you to switch between the two forms, because liberated is offensive while oppressed is defensive. However, if you don't feel very comfortable switching between fighting styles during combat, or if there is a particular fight that you are having trouble with, there is a technique you can use to get over it.

Enter a suppressed state and avoid incoming aggression using the evasion maneuver, which will quickly replenish your MP. When your MP is completely depleted, you can use a move called Burst Liberation, which slows down time. You can tell whether your MP has been exhausted by the bar lighting up yellow. If you're playing on Switch, press the L button to activate the move, which automatically puts you in a liberated state and slows down time. In the freed form, attack the enemies until time returns to normal. Go back to the suppressed state, rinse and repeat this method.

To further increase the effectiveness of this technique, make sure you have the Absorption Evade + skill, which you can get in one of the wizard graffiti in Shibuchika. This ability increases your absorption when dodging attacks.

Although this technique won't give you the best combat result at the end of the fight, it's not terrible either. I would get an average of three stars (20% EXP), but of course that depends on crucial factors such as how often you swapped characters and how long the match lasted. I found this method helpful when I first attempted the 109 entrance fight in Chapter 4, as I was completely under-leveled and still having to get to grips with the combat mechanics. However, this is an excellent technique if you're struggling with a fight and want to move on to the next part of the story.

Reynatis will be released on September 27, 2024 in North America and Europe for PS4, PS5, Switch and PC and on October 4, 2024 in Australia.
