Jayam Ravi-Aarti divorce drama: Ex-wife accused of domestic violence by actor's alleged girlfriend Kenishaa Francis

Jayam Ravi's messy divorce from wife Aarti has become the talk of the town. The split has now become a public spectacle as the two estranged spouses are now fighting over property, according to social media reports. Goa-based singer Kenishaa Francis, whose name has been linked with the 'Ponniyin Selvan' star, recently addressed the rumors and also made an explosive revelation about his relationship with his estranged wife.

In an interview with DT NextThe singer and spiritual healer dismissed all rumors about her affair with the actor, claiming he was her client and she was helping him as he was “mentally and emotionally hurt and battered” by his marriage. She also accused Aarti of domestic violence.

“There was no physical intervention; we both know our limits. I’m self-made and my parents aren’t anymore,” she told the publication.

Talking about their equation, she said: “He came to me only after sending an amicable divorce notice through his lawyer. He reached out to me because he didn’t want anyone in Chennai to know about it.”

Was Jayam Ravi abused by his ex-wife?

“As a therapist, I can tell you that the pain Jayam Ravi’s family has caused him is greater than the pain of losing his parents. As a therapist, it was extremely painful for me to hear about his struggles with Aarti and her parents. No one deserves this much abuse, regardless of gender, and I can release any evidence from my notes from our therapy sessions in court with or without Ravi's permission,” she said.

She also claimed that Aarti was desperate to ruin her ex-husband's reputation. “Anything related to his divorce needs to be challenged with Ravi and their leading families. Just because Aarti is afraid of what she did to Ravi, she can't use me as a scapegoat to cover up her actions. “What Aarti has done in the last month to tarnish his image and bank accounts is questionable,” she said. Francis also threatened to take legal action if she continued to defame her. Earlier, Jayam addressed the rumors surrounding his alleged relationship with Kenishaa and urged the media not to involve her in his divorce proceedings. “Kenishaa is a person who has sung in 600 stage shows. She got into life through her hard work. She is a healer who has saved many lives. She is a licensed psychologist. Please don’t involve them in this matter,” he said.

Jayam Ravi also expressed concerns that these speculations could jeopardize his future public welfare initiatives. “Kenishaa and I have plans to open a healing center in the future. That is our goal. We want to help many people. Please don't spoil it. Nobody can spoil it either. Don’t involve anyone unnecessarily,” he shared.

No reconciliation in sight

Jayam and Aarti Ravi were married for 15 years. On X, the actor announced his separation from her. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, he explicitly denied any possibility of reconciliation. “I want a divorce. If Aarti really wanted to reconcile, why didn't she reach out to me? Why did she ignore the two legal notices I sent? Does this behavior indicate a desire for reunification? And why should there be speculation about it? a 'friend' if she wanted to fix things?”…he said HT.
