Anti-Gang/Anti-Drug Board donates twice – Red Bluff Daily News

The Tehama County Major Crimes Unit Anti-Gang/Anti-Drug Board provided donations to the Manton Education Council ($25,000) and Tehama Together ($10,000).

The $25,000 will fund the important programs offered by the Manton Education Council and the Tehama Together donation will fund Tehama 211 and its community efforts.

The Major Crimes Anti-Gang/Anti-Drug Panel is comprised of Sheriff Dave Kain, Probation Officer Pam Gonzalez, Corning Police Chief Craig Bassett and District Attorney Matt Rogers. The Major Crimes Unit Anti-Gang/Anti-Drug Board is responsible for overseeing the funds raised through the seizure and forfeiture of drug assets. The seizure and confiscation of drug business assets and proceeds is governed by strict California laws, which require that 15% of all seized drug business assets be used for anti-gang and anti-drug programs with the goal of expelling children from drugs and gangs keep away.

The Anti-Gang/Anti-Drug Board also funds the Police Activities League, Tehama 211 and the Dave Mobilio Scholarship Fund.
