Jonathan Taylor says Colts are ready to “fight, scratch and claw” to beat the Steelers

The Indianapolis Colts appear determined to show they are more physical than the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. They know this is how the Steelers win and they want to beat them at their own game. They did that last year, so they understand what it takes to beat the Steelers.

“We definitely have to earn it again this week,” Colts RB Jonathan Taylor said Thursday via the team’s YouTube channel. “Mike Tomlin always has his guys ready to play. Strong team but it's another great chance at home. We will harness this energy at Lucas Oil [Stadium]and we just have to fight, fight and fight to get another victory.”

That would be a good description of how the Steelers won games. Their victories weren't pretty, but they took care of business. The Colts suffered a similar fate in their only win of the season. It wasn't until late in the game that they finished off the Chicago Bears. This shows how prepared they are to play until the final whistle if necessary.

Taylor wasn't healthy when the Colts played the Steelers last December, but he's had success against them before. In two games against the Steelers, Taylor has rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns, averaging a whopping 4.2 yards per carry. However, the Steelers won both games, so Taylor wasn't on the field when the Colts beat the Steelers. Hopefully this trend continues.

The Colts have a great offensive line, so fighting in the trenches will likely be important again this week. Whether you win, lose or draw, everyone is likely to walk away with a sore muscle. Taylor seems prepared and the Colts will need him to have a big day if they want to win.

In every game this season, the Steelers want to prove that no one is tougher than them. This week will be no different. There were a few injuries, but everyone seems ready to be next man up. Taylor and the Colts are just 1-2, and even though the Steelers are undefeated, they are still hungry for more success.
